Leaked - NVIDIA RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti Final Specs and Pre-order Pricing

An early pre-order listing by PNY has now confirmed the specifications and features of the upcoming NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti. We now know specifications such as CUDA Core count; base clock and boost clock speeds; memory standard, capacity and speeds; TDP, SLI capability, PCI Express version used and maximum power draw. The leaked specifications are of the PNY GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Overclocked XLR8 Edition and the PNY GeForce RTX 2080 8GB XLR8 Gaming Overclocked Edition. Pre-order pricing for the PNY RTX 2080 is $800 and $1000 for the PNY RTX 2080 Ti. You can thank the keen-eyed folks on Twitter for spotting this leak. One of the product hero images from the PNY website confirms that the new 2000-series GPUs are indeed based off the NVIDIA Turing architecture. As for the '6X Performance' gain, this will most certainly be with regards to the Real-Time Ray Tracing capabilities of the graphics card. There are no other aspects of an incremental generation that scale up to six times the previous generation. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti Key Features The data sheet that was obtained from PNY’s website for the RTX 2080 and the RTX 2080 Ti list the same set of features as listed below. There's the much talked about Real-Time Ray Tracing and that's followed by NVIDIA® GeForce Experience™, NVIDIA® Ansel, NVIDIA® Highlights, NVIDIA® G-SYNC™ Compatible, Game Ready Drivers, Microsoft® DirectX® 12 API, Vulkan API, OpenGL 4/5, DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0b, Designed for USB Type-C™ and VirtualLink™4, HDCP 2.2, NVIDIA® GPU Boost™ and VR Ready. The NVLink support is the other key feature which will allow 2x SLI between two RTX 2080 or RTX 2080 Ti. Going by the orientation of the NVLink finger, there is no way more than two cards can be paired using this interface. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti and 2080 Minimum System Requirements The leaked data sheet lists the following as the minimum system requirements for installing these new graphics cards. - PCI Express-compliant motherboard with one dual-width ×16 graphics slot - Two 8-pin supplementary power connector - Minimum 650 W or greater system power supply - 1.5GB available hard-disk space - 8GB system memory (16GB or higher recommended) - Microsoft Windows 10 (April 2018 Update or later), Windows 7 64-bit, Linux 64-bit - Internet connection As for the RTX 2080, the minimum system requirements are the same except for the difference in power connector. For the RTX 2080, you’ll need an 8-pin and a 6-pin supplementary power connector. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti Specifications While the data sheets obtained from PNY’s website give us a glimpse at the final specifications, the only changes here on will be the TDP, power connectors, memory speeds, core and boost clock speeds which vary for different board manufacturers based on what kind of custom PCB they’re using and how much they’re going to overclock the GPUs. Everything else is the same as one would expect of the reference NVIDIA RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti graphics cards.   PNY NVIDIA RTX 2080 Ti PNY NVIDIA RTX 2080 CUDA Cores 4352 2944 Core Clock 1350 MHz 1515 Boost Clock 1545 MHz 1710 MHz Memory Type GDDR6 GDDR6 Memory Capacity 11 GB 8 GB Memory Interface 352-bit 256-bit Memory Bandwidth 616 GB/s 448 GB/s TDP 285 W 285 W SLI NVLink 2-way NVLink 2-way Multi-Screen Yes Yes Max Resolution 7680 × 4320 @60Hz (Digital) 7680 × 4320 @60Hz (Digital) Power Input 2x 8-Pin 1x 6-Pin 1x 8-Pin Bus Type PCI-Express 3.0 PCI-Express 3.0 NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti Pricing As per the PNY website, they had listed the PNY GeForce RTX 2080 Ti 11GB XLR8 Gaming Overclocked Edition for $1000 (Approx Rs.70,000) and the PNY GeForce RTX 2080 8GB XLR8 Gaming Overclocked Edition for $800 (Approx. Rs.56,000).   The pre-order pricing for graphics cards are generally way higher than what they normally sell for. Sometimes, they’d be about $100-$150 greater than normal pricing. Moreover, these are custom PCB cards which means that they will be priced slightly higher than the reference NVIDIA Founders Edition cards. We still don’t know if there will be a founders edition as of now, but going by the last couple of GPU families, one would expect NVIDIA to have them.
